Philadelphia quarterback, Donovan McNabb left the game with a fractured rib. It is not definite yet, but word has it he may miss up to 2 to 4 weeks.
NFG - Likely if McNabb cannot go in week 2, Kevin Kolb will likely start, but come week 3 it will be interesting to see what the Eagles will do. This could make Michael Vick an interesting pickup if he is available.

Michael Vick (QB) - 09/03/2009
There are different stories on when NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell will rule on when Vick will be reinstated. It was first reported that he would rule on that by the 6th week but now it is believed it may be earlier. Some believe the decision is expected to be made by the Saturday, 6:00 PM deadline to trim rosters down to 53 players. However ESPN has also reported that Michael Vick will be reinstated and made eligible for the Philadelphia Eagles Home Opener in week-3.
NFG - I can almost see Vick being eligible for the first week of the season. Goodell has all along said that he is not holding off on the reinstatement as any punishment but simply to be sure they don't rush him back before he is NFL ready and hurt the chances of Vick's return being successful. So if the Eagles and Vick both believe he is ready, and Goodell does not reinstate him, then it would turn into a discipline action. Worse, the discipline would hurt both Vick and the Eagles for they would have to have him on their roster and play the first games a man short.

Philadelphia Eagles Fantasy Players
Quarterback - Donovan McNabb - (Position Rank - 6)

(Rushing) 150 Yards, 1 TD, 5 Fumbles
McNabb's only down fall is his health. If he stays healthy, he is a great quarterback for fantasy football. For the last two seasons, he has stayed virtually healthy, but unfortunately he does not run as much as he once did.
Quarterback - Michael Vick - (Position Rank - 11)
(Passing) 600 Yards, 4 TD, 2 IT, 4 Sacks
(Rushing) 800 Yards, 5 TD, 2 Fumbles
(Receiving) 35 Catches, 400 Yards, 2 TD
I will admit right from the start. I may be jumping the gun quite a bit here. To me it is obvious that Philadelphia signed Vick to use him in the Wildcat offense. I see Vick as becoming the modern version of Slash. Remember Kordell Stewart before he got stupid and became only a quarterback? Vick will throw passes, run with the ball and catch the ball. I do not believe that the Eagles signed him, risking a fall out with the fans and media to use him as a decoy or ride the bench. They will play him and they will utilze his speed.
The problem is that you wont get him for the first 6 weeks of the season. Draft the rest of your starters first then take him to ride your bench until he can play.
Running Back - Brian Westbrook - (Position Rank - 11)
(Rushing) 1,100 Yards, 9 TD, 1 Fumbles
(Receiving) 60 Catches, 450 Yards, 4 TD
When healthy, Westbrook is one of the best running backs in the game. The good news is he has not missed more than two games in a season in a while. The bad is that he is recovering from an ankle injury. The good is that he expects to be ready for the opener.
Wide Receiver - DeSean Jackson - (Position Rank - 35)
(Receiving) 75 Catches, 1,050 Yards, 4 TD, 2 Fumbles
As a rookie, he had 62 catches for 912 yards. I expect him to lift his game a little but not by a lot in his second season.
Wide Receiver - Kevin Curtis - (Position Rank - 42)
(Receiving) 65 Catches, 850 Yards, 5 TD, 0 Fumbles
Okay, I will admit it. He should be ranked a littler worse. I am playing a hunch here.
Wide Receiver - Jeramy Maclin - (Position Rank - 81)
(Receiving) NA
Philadelphia has a habit of spreading the ball around. Westbrook will get it a lot and now Vick will too I think. Being the third receiver and a rookie, Maclin is not in position to have a big year.
Tight End - Brent Celek - (Position Rank - 12)
(Receiving) 55 Catches, 570 Yards, 4 TD, 0 Fumbles
Celek is a late round flier. Nothing more unless your league demands two tight ends.

DeSean Jackson (WR) - 8/08/2009
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver got tangled up with cornerback Asante Samuel in practice and landed awkwardly. On the mishap, Jackson hyper-extended his right knee. Later, he was seen walking on the leg but his knee was heavily wrapped. He is expected to go through more tests later Saturday and until the results are revealed, we cannot know to what extent the injury is.
NFG - If you have an early draft coming up, you might want to keep a close eye on his status before drafting him.

LeSean McCoy (RB) - 06/29/2009
The Philadelphia Eagles agreed to terms on a 4-year contract with 2nd-round draft pick, LeSean McCoy.
NFG - LeSean McCoy will be a decent late round pick in Fantasy Football. With Brian Westbrook's propensity to find ways to get injured, McCoy may very well be nice to have on the bench.
