Why NFL Fantasy Guide?

WE ARE SORRY: Due to the overwhelming time it takes to keep up with Fantasy Stats, I am no longer creating up to date draft lists and such on this blog.

However, I would like to remind you that the articles are for the most part still good advice to keep to heart when playing Fantasy Football.

Questions

Often in the preseason, there are questions about players. Injuries, position battles and anything that might effect the Fantasy Football Player Rankings. Here I will address some of them.

New York Jets Fantasy Players

Quarterback - Mark Sanchez - (Position Rank - 30)
(Passing) NA
(Rushing) NA
The only way Sanchez is a worthy draft pick even in the late rounds is if he starts and you are in a keeper league. Even then I would not suggest it. It is rare that a quarterback is worthy of a keeper position, though that would depend on your leagues keeper rules.

Running Back - ???? - (Position Rank - ?)
(Rushing) NA
(Receiving) NA
There are few areas in the NFL that are as unknown as the Jets Running Back situation. Thomas Jones always does well and yet teams never like keeping him in a starting position. Leon Washington is a strong choice to take over Jones place. Both Jones and Washington are having Contract disputes with the Jets front office. Meanwhile, rookie Shonn Greene is picking up speed even though he is hampered with an ankle injury. Right now I would stay away from the Jets backfield unless you are in dire straits for a running back.

Wide Receiver - Jerricho Cotchery - (Position Rank - 40)
(Receiving) 75 Catches, 900 Yards, 5 TD, 1 Fumbles
Cotchery is the only veteran receiver on the team with any real experience. He has no receivers to cause fear to draw attention away from him and his quarterbacks are far from making him a huge threat.

Wide Receiver - Chansi Stuckey - (Position Rank - 48)
Wide Receiver - David Clowney - (Position Rank - ?)
(Receiving) 60 Catches, 700 Yards, 6 TD, 0 Fumbles
Right now it looks like Stuckey is the favored to win the #2 receiver spot on the Jets, but Clowney has of late come on strong. Clowney has shown good hands recently and has real speed.

Tight End - Dustin Keller - (Position Rank - 14)
(Receiving) 55 Catches, 600 Yards, 4 TD, 0 Fumbles
If a few teams took a second TE and you still need one, Keller is not a bad option. Just dont count him in your top ten.
