Why NFL Fantasy Guide?

WE ARE SORRY: Due to the overwhelming time it takes to keep up with Fantasy Stats, I am no longer creating up to date draft lists and such on this blog.

However, I would like to remind you that the articles are for the most part still good advice to keep to heart when playing Fantasy Football.

NFL Fantasy Guide
Questions

Often in the preseason, there are questions about players. Injuries, position battles and anything that might effect the Fantasy Football Player Rankings. Here I will address some of them.

Oakland Raiders Fantasy Players

Running Back - Darren McFadden - (Position Rank - 28)
(Rushing) 650 Yards, 6 TD, 1 Fumbles
(Receiving) 45 Catches, 400 Yards, 2 TD
McFadden has the talent to be ranked much higher, but at this time he looks to be splitting a lot of time with Justin Fargas and Michael Bush. Though it is expected at this time that Fargas will be the starter, McFadden is ranked higher. This is due to the fact the Raiders are planning on using him in wideout positions sometimes when Fargas is on the field.

Running Back - Justin Fargas - (Position Rank - 37)
(Rushing) 650 Yards, 3 TD, 0 Fumbles
(Receiving) 15 Catches, 100 Yards, 0 TD
Fargas looks to be the starter right now, but nobody knows if he will keep it over McFadden. He will likely get a good share of the carries but very few of the receptions.

Wide Receiver - javon Walker - (Position Rank - 51)
(Receiving) 60 Catches, 800 Yards, 4 TD, 0 Fumbles
Walker is supposed to be healthy this year but he still does not have a very worthy quarterback throwing to him. Chaz Schillens was looking like a possible candidate to be draft worthy until he broke his foot. He will miss the rest of the preseason and a couple weeks of the regular season. Even once he returns, he will take time to get back to game speed.

Tight End - Zach Miller - (Position Rank - 10)
(Receiving) 55 Catches, 750 Yards, 4 TD, 1 Fumbles
IF the elite Tight Ends are gone, Miller might be the one to grab. His ranking may be going up as he is expected to get more scoring chances in 2009. That is according to his coaches.
