Quarterback - Eli Manning - (Position Rank - 18)
(Passing) 3,300 Yards, 22 TD, 15 IT, 27 Sacks
(Rushing) 20 Yards, 1 TD, 3 Fumbles
The Giants just gave Eli a huge contract. I will admit, I think he is a good quarterback, but I fail to see what he has done that was so spectacular. He has never hit 3,800 yards. He has never thrown for as many as 25 touchdowns and only once has he broken the 60% completion barrier. In Fantasy Football, those numbers are no better than average.
Running Back - Brandon Jacobs - (Position Rank - 10)
(Rushing) 1,300 Yards, 15 TD, 2 Fumbles
(Receiving) 12 Catches, 80 Yards, 1 TD
If Brandon Jacobs can ever stay healthy for a full 16 games, he will be a beast. Unfortunately you can only count on 13 games at the most. With Derrick Ward off to Tampa Bay, Jacobs should get a little bigger of a work load. Even in 13 games he should get my projections. If he stays healthy, you can add another 250 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Running Back - Ahmad Bradshaw - (Position Rank - 35)
(Rushing) 700 Yards, 3 TD, 1 Fumbles
(Receiving) 10 Catches, 80 Yards, 1 TD
Word has it Bradshaw will take Wards place in the scheme. He is a good reserve to have for a bye-week but I would not want to count on him as a main running back in a fantasy team. Bradshaws true value lies in if/when Jacobs gets hurt. As big as Jacobs is, he gets hit a lot on the legs, making him more prone to injuries.
Wide Receiver - Domenik Hixon - (Position Rank - 47)
(Receiving) 65 Catches, 780 Yards, 5 TD, 0 Fumble
Wide Receiver - Bobby Wade - (Position Rank - 64)
(Receiving) 70 Catches, 730 Yards, 4 TD, 0 Fumbles
If you find yourself in the double digit rounds and still in dire need for receivers, that is when you turn to the Giants. NYG is a primary run first team and they do that well. Plus, word has it they may use the Tight End, Kevin Boss, more this season.
Tight End - Kevin Boss - (Position Rank - 11)
(Receiving) 45 Catches, 450 Yards, 6 TD, 0 Fumbles
With defenses concentrating on stopping the col0ssus, Jacobs, the Giants may turn more often to Boss.
