Why NFL Fantasy Guide?

WE ARE SORRY: Due to the overwhelming time it takes to keep up with Fantasy Stats, I am no longer creating up to date draft lists and such on this blog.

However, I would like to remind you that the articles are for the most part still good advice to keep to heart when playing Fantasy Football.

NFL Fantasy Guide
Questions

Often in the preseason, there are questions about players. Injuries, position battles and anything that might effect the Fantasy Football Player Rankings. Here I will address some of them.

New England Patriots Fantasy Players

Quarterback - Tom Brady - (Position Rank - 4)
(Passing) 4,000 Yards, 28 TD, 11 IT, 30 Sacks
(Rushing) 30 Yards, 0 TD, 4 Fumbles
With the team he has around him, Brady could easily end up being the best quarterback in fantasy football this season. With that being said, you still have to be wary of him returning from a bad knee injury. In the very least, I would expect the knee to slow him just enough that he will not be quite as elusive in the pocket and will take a few more hits this season.

Running Back - ???? - (Position Rank - ?)
(Rushing) NA
(Receiving) NA
New England has a smattering of running backs and as of yet, nobody knows who will start or how much they will play. It is looking like Sammy Morris has the lead on starting but that can easily change. Right now I have Sammy Morris ranked #40, Maroney #53 and Fred Taylor #57.

Wide Receiver - Randy Moss - (Position Rank - 2)
(Receiving) 80 Catches, 1200 Yards, 14 TD, 2 Fumble
Moss put up strong numbers in 2008 without Brady. This season he has Brady and also has Joey Galloway to draw some coverage away from him.

Wide Receiver - Wes Welker - (Position Rank - 17)
(Receiving) 111 Catches, 1,150 Yards, 5 TD, 1 Fumbles
Welker has shown he was not a fluke as he actually lifted his receptions in his second year. With Moss taking double coverage and Galloway taking someone with him, Welker will have linebackers to beat.

Wide Receiver - Joey Galloway - (Position Rank - 54)
(Receiving) 40 Catches, 650 Yards, 6 TD, 0 Fumbles
Galloway is a decoy more than anything. He has enough speed and ability to make defenses worry about him, but Brady will try to get the ball to Moss and Welker more often. If defenses lean too much to the others, Galloway will have his big games now and then.
